As the principal fabrication artist to Master Muralist, Wayne Healy, my job was to make his concept drawing into the tile mural below.
I had to scale his drawing and make the color separations with historic photos that were then silk screened onto 12”x12” ceramic tiles with tile glaze. Color glaze was then sprayed over the entire mural and Wayne was then able to paint his stylized imagery on top and then baked in a kiln. I was then tasked with cutting the tiles to size and installing them at El Sereno Public Library.
